Cutscenes From Games
We've come a long way from PacMan. This is "The Elder Scrolls". Gaming in the 21st century is about cinematic realism. The games make you feel like you're really there. You become a star in the movie. And in VR, the entire environment is life sized. On a laptop, these movies look like any other video game. But in VR, it feels like you're really in another world, fighting orcs, aliens, or monsters. Being a girl-type girl, I can't imagine how being stuck somewhere getting shot at is fun, but titles like "Elder Scrolls", "Mass Effect", "Halo" and "Call of Duty" have sold billions of copies worldwide, so what do I know? What I can tell you is that these movies are extremely well written and they're visually compelling. And if you're into gaming, this is an excellent way to experience a VR game before you spend $60 to buy it. But even if you aren't into gaming, the movies are just amazing. Hours go by as you're watching, and you don't know where the time went. The state of the art is bleeding edge right now. It won't be long before it's impossible to distinguish these games from reality. Then we really will be a star in these movies.
