Tampa

Tampa, In My Opinion

What I like most about Tampa is it’s actually three cities in one large metropolitan area. You’ve got Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater, all in spitting distance of each other. Each oe has its own flavor, but it’s really all one place to me. Like Minneapolis and St. Paul, I really like when two cities are that close together. You can live in one and play in the other, which is great if one is cheaper than the other. But in the case of Tampa, you can play in all three, because they all sport beaches that are absolutely beautiful.

Exploring Tampa

Tampa is a nice, walkable city. It’s a really bikeable city too. There are lots of places to cruise around, making it fairly easy to ditch your car if you want to get some exercise. As for the nightlife, Ybor City is lively on weekends. But there are numerous hot spots in downtown Tampa. I’m still looking for them, though. So far, what I’ve seen seems kinda low rent. Or may be it’s just that America just seems kinda low rent right now. After looking at videos of other people around the world, everybody here looks like they’re poor and really badly nourished. They’re overweight and badly dressed. It could be that the pandemic just took a toll on us, but look at these people! America has definitely seen better days.

Walk The Neighborhood

Move the mouse on top of the little gold man on the map. Hold down the left mouse button and you’ll see blue lines appear. Those lines are streets. Drag and drop the little man on top of the street you want and let go of the mouse button. The picture on the right will change to show you a view of that street along with the street name. Click the arrows on the street to “walk” around. Or you can double-click the street to walk if there’s an arrow under your cursor. Roll the middle mouse button to zoom in and out. That’s all there is to it. Now get out there and explore!
