Must-Have Extras for Your Oculus Quest 2
You don’t actually need to buy anything at all for your Quest 2. It comes with everything you absolutely need right out of the box. But if you want to optimize your VR experience, you’ll need a few extras. I don’t buy electronics without first researching my purchases as they are always sold separately. So if you decide to get into this, here’s a nice shopping list of things you’re going to need for your new VR rig.
Outfitting Your Rig
VR accessories are not necessary for the headset to work, but they sure do make using it more enjoyable. I couldn’t wait for my headset to be shipped from Amazon, so I went to Target and picked up my headset the same day. But the rest of this stuff you can get super cheap from Amazon, if only because you’ve got more time than money. The Oculus brand stuff is ridiculously expensive. China makes pretty much everything you could possibly need for your headset, and really cheap too. While waiting for shipping from China is annoying and inconvenient, you don’t really mind all that much if it breaks because it only cost you $15 bucks, not $50. So get what you can comfortably afford.
