I’m telling you now, these headsets are like iPhones…they don’t ever go on sale. So if you find someone selling one for less than what you see here, it’s a scam. Don’t buy it. Just go to Target, Best Buy, Walmart or wherever and pay for it, so you have peace of mind. The best reason for this is that one of the ways in which you can get ripped off is to buy an earlier model of the Quest 2…the one that is 64gb in size. It costs exactly the same amount as the 128gb model, only it holds a fraction of the apps. What happened was Zuck discovered that the face shield, which was made of some kind of sponge material, totally sucked. It gets sweaty when you play, and it begins to have an odor, and cause rashes. When it became clear that it was a mistake, Zuck had to recall all those awful face shields and replace them. It was at that point he decided to scrap the 64gb model and release the 128gb model with the new silicon face shield to solve the problem. Of course, that meant that anyone stuck with the 64gb model is trying desperately to unload it to the suckers out there for full or near price. Don’t get played. Just go to a reputable store and pick one up. You won’t be sorry.
