What can I say? It’s a jukebox, as in a bunch of songs I like from anyone I could think of off the top of my head. Obviously, I am old. I’ve officially reached that age where I dread listening to my son’s music. It’s like being raped in the ear. But don’t let that make you think that these aren’t jams. If you’re my age or thereabouts, you’ll recognize most of this. But if you’re my son’s age, I’ll tell you a secret: All that fresh new music you think you’re streaming? This is what they’re ripping off to create all that stuff you think is brand new. They dug into their parents’ music collection and found gold. These are the beats your favorite musicians have been sampling to convince you that they’re talented. So if some of this sounds familiar, now you know why.

I get it. It’s violent, it objectifies women, there’s drug use…what can I say? I love Jamaican dancehall, reggaeton and hip hop. But some of these videos are pretty nasty, so I’ve tried to include the clean version too. I don’t believe in imposing morality on others. I like to present the artist’s work as it was originally intended to be seen and heard, no matter how raw it is. If you edit out the naughty bits, you’re kinda missing that point. So if you don’t like the video, don’t complain…just play something else! I try hard to get the best quality YouTube video because just listening to music loses something in VR. You need something fun to look at, but it’s not always possible. So I’m telling you now, some of these videos are gonna look like crap, especially on a big screen. And not every song has a video. The older artists I included here recorded long before there were music videos. But wherever possible, I got you the highest quality content available.
