San Francisco • Aerial Tours

This will always be one of my favorite cities. Not just because the city is beautiful and the food is fantastic, but because the people are my kind of people. They built this city on a seismically-active fault…TWICE. When you fly over it, you really get a feel for just how big a feat that must have been. The only real certainty they live with is that it will happen again. And again. But the place is so ridiculously beautiful that I can’t actually find fault with their logic. Seeing it from the air, it’s easy to understand why they’ll just keep rebuilding it over and over again, every time an earthquake brings it down. It’s breathtaking! And every time they have to rebuild it, they build back better.
