Jacob Sutton Choreography

I’ve always kinda had the feeling that classical dancers look down on hiphop as a low-brow form of entertainment for “the rest of us”. But hiphop has really come into its own, and has been mainstreamed into dance culture as just another form of the art. Never in a million years would I have thought that this could’ve been produced by a classical dancer. And he’s drawn on the talents of some absolutely brilliant dancers, one of whom I recognize from the TV show “So You Think You Can Dance”. That really is Phillip Chebeeb, for those of you who follow the show. Your eyes aren’t deceiving you. He didn’t win, but he’s officially working in the business as a paid dancer. So congrats to him, and to Jacob Sutton for producing this graphic love letter paying respect to literally every kind of dance.

This guy is just into everything…photography, advertising, art. You name it. And it's all centered around one thing: DANCE! I mean the kind of dance you can't do without years and years of bone-breaking training to get those flawless lines and the kind of perfection in the feet that this guy on the left is just killing. That a dancer produced this work of advertising genius just leaves me in bewildered awe.
