Sightseeing in Norway

If you’re here looking for theme parks and casinos, this ain’t the place. That’s because it’s Norway. The whole point to this country is to get outside and become one with Nature. You’re sightseeing every time you step out your front door. Especially if you’re venturing out into the countryside. There are some really nice hotels available, and don’t forget…AirBnB is everywhere. So if you want to feel like you’re actually living there instead of just passing through, check them out. If you’re gonna have a great experience, you have to consider more than just the price. Pick a residence that’s gonna suit your needs, and restaurants that are gonna satisfy.

Speaking of food, local food can be a bit of a challenge for the inexperienced palate. Fish is a staple here, but so is reindeer. So if you’re not into reindeer sausage, seek out restaurants that serve more traditional fare, even if it means eating room service. Norway is extremely expensive, so you don’t want to get stuck paying top dollar for the deer testicles you saw on the menu, just because you didn’t know that’s what “Hjort Testikler” means in Norwegian. My personal rule when traveling is that it’s best to stick to the beaten path. You can’t go wrong with beef and chicken. I learned this the hard way when I moved to Spain and spent my first month living in the bathroom.
