She's French, but what she does come straight from the Motherland. She studied hip-hop at the Juste Debout School, but at some point, she lost her passion and desire to dance. A dancer can't live like that. So she visited the Central African Republic, then to Ghana, Senegal, Guinea, and Côte d’Ivoire, where she realized that her heart is in African music, which is what she does best.

I'm ashamed to call myself a woman next to this QUEEN!!! I'm not worthy. My sad little ovaries couldn't hang. That she can dance like this, pregnant…seriously, who does that?!! If I lived in London, I'd never miss her class. I had to include her legwork tutorial just because we both know you want to try this when you're by yourself. She makes this look ridiculously easy, though it most definitely is not. And she's not even sweating!!!

Sherrie's classes are seriously high energy. Don't even think about doing this without warming up first. She teaches REAL African dance, so if you don't stretch first, you are definitely going to tear something. For her classes, I'd strongly suggest that you use the Settings gear on the YouTube movie and slow the speed down so you can see what she's doing. Then speed it up once you've got the steps down cold.

She's an Amazon. She's gotta be about six feet tall in heels, without an ounce of superfluous fat on her. She can kick your ass in those ridiculously high heels. But she can also do and teach African dance in them, so deal with it. Her classes are always jammed packed. Some of her students are established dancers. You'll see them in lots of people's videos. Others are just learning. But kudos to anyone who can survive her class.
