Living here  must be like living on permanent vacation…if you can overlook all the homeless people, tent cities and meth addicts. Yes, the country is in a bit of a slump. But if you’re gonna be homeless in America, Hawaii is definitely the place to do it! You’re lucky if you get to go to the Big Island for your honeymoon. It’s 3,000 miles off the California coast, which is two-thirds the width of the entire United States. It’s not a cheap plane ticket, and everything is ten times more expensive there. Most of us can only look at pictures and dream, but not you! Hop into your VR car and take a spin around the Hawaiian Islands! If you ask me, there’s not that much to look at in the cities, unless you enjoy people watching. Hawaii is nothing if you don’t ride around and explore the beautiful, black sand beaches, the lush, verdant countryside, and those terrifying hills and mountains created by Hawaii’s active volcanos. A hotel is just a safe place to leave your stuff. If you’re not outside enjoying the view at least 90% of the time, you’ve kind missed the point of being there. 

If people watching is your thing, you can do it from just about anywhere in Hawaii. It may be our 50th state, but Hawaii can’t actually belong to any one country. It really belongs to the entire planet. It’s the dream spot for almost everybody, unless you already live somewhere in Polynesia, like Tahiti or Bora Bora, in which case it’s just more of the same for you. For the rest of us, it’s our idea of Paradise. It’s just Polynesian and exotic enough to feel like a foreign country. It doesn’t really feel like you’re in America. It’s got its own food, its own culture, its own language and customs. But don’t get it twisted. Hawaii is as American as apple pie. Just walk around the people and you’ll see and hear it all around you.
