Thinking about going to Iceland in real life? Here is some information that might help you to find a great place to stay, or where to eat. You’re not going to have a hard time finding great food anywhere in France. But there’s such a thing as being overwhelmed by a wealth of choices. And there’s always price to consider, not to mention the language barrier. Not all menus have translations. You can always ask someone to help you with the menu. But never forget…everybody knows what a hamburger is. You can’t go wrong with that!

About Iceland…

It’s one of the most volcanic places on Earth, which seems weird being that this is Iceland…one of the coldest places on the planet. Nature is at its spectacular best in this frigid little country, but it’s harsh. It’s a beautiful but rugged country that’s tough on the people. They share their existence with active volcanos. But Icelanders are tough as nails. This is Viking country. To survive a life lived near the Arctic Circle, they have to be as hard as their country. They go about their daily business as if there’s nothing particularly terrifying about living with running lava. They go visit the active lava flows and hang out chilling while lava pours out all around them. I’m not kidding. I posted video of it. People in Hawaii look at this and think “we watch our volcanos from at least ten miles away. This is crazy!” But Icelanders don’t seem to mind standing around watching the Earth invent new land as they go about their daily lives. Say what you will about Iceland and Icelanders…they’re the only people on the planet who’ve actually managed to save their town by beating back the lava.
