What can I say? It’s a jukebox, as in a bunch of songs I like from anyone I could think of off the top of my head. Obviously, I am old. I’ve officially reached that age where I dread listening to my son’s music. It’s like being raped in the ear. But don’t let that make you think that these aren’t jams. If you’re my age or thereabouts, you’ll recognize most of this. But if you’re my son’s age, I’ll tell you a secret: All that fresh new music you think you’re listening too? This is what they’re ripping off to create all that stuff you think is new. They dug into their parents’ CD collection and found gold. These are the beats your favorite musicians have been sampling to convince you that they’re talented. So if some of this sounds familiar, now you know why.

Some of these videos are pretty raw, so I’ve tried to include the clean version as well. The clean ones usually have the video content, but I included the explicit versions because I don’t believe in imposing my morality on others. I like to present the artist’s work as it was originally intended it to be seen and heard. When you start editing it for content, you destroy a work of art. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s not art. If you edit out the naughty bits, you’re missing the point. Don’t spoil everyone else’s enjoyment. If you don’t like the video, just play something else! Anyway, I try to get the best quality video available on YouTube, but it’s not always possible. Some of these videos are gonna look like crap, especially on a big screen, but the music’s still awesome. And not every song has a video. Older artists recorded long before there were music videos. But wherever possible, I got you the highest quality content so you’ve got something fun to watch while you’re listening.
