I’ve had trouble with insomnia for years because I’m the mother of a child with a disability. After years of being a caregiver for 24 hours a day, my poor body lost the ability to just kick back and relax. I’ve tried everything, from meditation to medication. Nothing worked. Then I got my VR headset and stumbled across these videos. Suddenly, I’m sleeping like a baby. And it’s all thanks to Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR). It’s very relaxing on your PC. But in VR, it becomes an incredible form of sensory deprivation. With the eyes covered by the headset and the ears plugged with headphones, the brain is deprived of any other sensory input except the delicious environments I’ve provided for you. Suddenly, you’re not in at home with all the pressures that are weighing on you. You’re in Italy, sitting by a beautiful babbling brook, or lying on a beach towel in Bali, just watching the waves. It really feels like being there. And because it does, the body relaxes and falls asleep. No drugs, no meditation. You don’t have to do anything. Just pick a place and go there.
NOTE: Use an external battery pack or plug in the headset, so it won’t lose power before you fall asleep.
